About this pro

I am an avid golfer in the state of Maryland. As a trained PGA Apprentice I understand the golf swing and can help any player adapt to shoot the score they want. My teachings don't stop at the full swing either, short game is my specialty and if you take short game lessons with me your scores will drastically improve. I also provide playing lessons at varying rates depending on the course, this means you will get to use some of the knowledge you've been taught as well as try out more techniques in various situations. If you're interested in playing better golf and having a better time playing it book a lesson with me today.

Helping golfers play better golf does two things, it makes their round go faster and increases everyone else's enjoyment of the game but it also enables the player to enjoy the game more through better play. Golfers that can't hit the ball well and can't figure out how to do it consistently tend to not enjoy the game as much as those who do. My goal through teaching is to make the game as enjoyable as possible and I find personal satisfaction when one of my students enjoys a round of golf because they are getting better at playing.

Brian was very patient did clearly explain what I was doing wrong and how to correct the error. The long layoff seamed to cause me to get into some bad swing habits. We also worked on putting and first time on the course I saw more consistency in my distance control.

Brian was very good at explaining to me what small adjustments I needed to make in order to better my swing. He was very easy to talk to about what needed to be fixed and made the lessons really fun. Whether you are a beginner or a golfer looking for some tips, I highly recommend Brian.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

New students will be asked about their golf history as well as any personal physical limitations that they might have. I will also ask about what it is they wish to work on. I usually ask them to send me a video of their swing from the two different view points in order to get a pre-assessment of their swing.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have a degree in golf course management, during which I studied a number of courses related to teaching the golf swing and various parts of the game to players. I am a PGA Apprentice and I am always continuing my education to better help my students.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

My typical lesson pricing is as follows.

1/2 hour lesson: $25

45 minute lesson: $35

1 hour lesson: $45

Playing Lessons: vary based on course and #of holes

How did you get started teaching?

I started teaching during my last semsester of college during my advanced teaching class. I have always enjoyed teaching others and I've continued teaching to this day.

What types of students have you worked with?

I have worked with a wide range of students, however the majority of my students have been juniors. I enjoy students who are serious about wanting to improve and are willing to try new things.
