About
Featherdown offers riding lessons for children and adults of all skill levels. with opportunities available for the recreational rider or the more serious competitor who is interested in horse showing, leases and team riding. Featherdown has a wide range of safe and talented school horses including smaller ponies for the younger riders.
Occupying a newly renovated facility on one of the oldest historic sites in Sparks encompassing 237 acres, Featherdown has a large outdoor ring and an indoor which encompasses the barn area.
Featherdown's mission is to educate it's riders so that they are able to persue any area of riding that they choose, whether it be competitive or casual riding.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
New students are asked to participate in a half hour evaluation lesson so we may properly place them in the appropriate level lesson.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Lesson Pricing:
Evaluation- $45 (half hour)
Group- $45
Private- $65
Students are expected to arrive early to groom and tack up their assigned animal. All lessons are one hour which includes cool down and groom time. Students are responsible for their tack and turning their horse out after the lesson.
