Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like starting from the ground up. My first priority of always for both rider and horse to gain respect of each other. There's a big difference between respect and your horse being scared of you. We discuss your goals with your equine partner and how we're going to get there in a fashion both parties enjoy. It should be an enjoyable process for everyone involved!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I work full time as a vet tech, but have had many equine jobs along the way! I've been riding for majority of my life and training/breaking out horses for people. I've finally decided I'm in the right spot in my life to take on lessons students and cannot wait to take some people under my wing!
What types of students have you worked with?
Anywhere from young children to select adults.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure you find the right trainer that suites your goals! You should have similar mindsets. They should put your horses well-being first.
