BRAND NEW TO GOLF
About
I focus primarily on golf "swing" mechanics. My logic is that at the end of the day, I should be able to put any golf club in the hands of my students and they understand completely how to swing the club whether it's a putter, wedge, iron or wood (driver).
I love relating things in life to things relative in the golf swing. To see a new golfer relate movements they've had with other sports to that of the golf swing, they tend to learn and adapt much more easier. I can see how the students gradually gain respect and appreciation the sport even more!
I tend to service young people (10yrs +) and adults more frequently in the Upper DC-Bowie areas (DC, Takoma Park, Silver Spring, Laurel, Greenbelt, Landover, Cheverly, Bowie, some of Upper Marlboro areas)

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
My process is taking all my students from green to tee; in other words, I teach the smallest swings first (putting and chipping); then we work our way up to half and full swings, setting up for the ultimate experience, driving the golf ball! Though all of the swings are the same (with the exception of putting), I look to encourage the new golfer to practice positions at home or on their local golf course as much as possible, for developing muscle memory; and the movements that the body must be in for maximum results.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
