My business stands out because even though the farm isn't fancy, we guarantee you will love the laid back atmosphere and drama free little barn. I wanted to create a program where everyone can afford to ride and enjoy horses. Safety and smiles and guaranteed. I've worked at so many barns where u have ten students and one trainer. it's just simply impossible for one instructor to give the proper teaching to 10 students. We use saddles plus equipment to fit horse and Rider. Most barns only use on one saddle per horse which doesn't benefit the rider. Getting the rider comfortable around the horses if their a beginner. Learning horsemanship such as grooming and horse handling goes a long way to help the student with their riding. Students gain confidence and learn at their owm pace. should for paying all that money. Often with big group lessons or paid trail rides all the horses do is follow each other . I've been riding since the age of 3 yrs old. Ive never had the exspensive show horses or equipment. I learned how to ride and train cheap and un broke, or unwanted horses and re homing them as a trusted mount for life to their new owner. I stil don't have the fancy farm. I actually got out of the horse world for a few years. Then I was blessed to be able to manage my own farm off Long Corner Rd. In Mt airy Md. The property owners are awesome. Vicky the farm owner is a school teacher who moved from VA 3 years ago. I love training horses but as I get older I'm focusing more on my lesson program. Over the years I've been very lucky to have worked with so many diciplines of riding, different breeds of horses, and all levels of riders. From raising babies, stallion handling, being able to compete over the east coast and the pleasure of teaching lessons to all levels of riders. Teaching is my passion and I've recently introduced therapy horse back riding. In all my 30 plus years of working at horse barns all over Maryland, I've used this knowledge to build my business better and making sure clients or their children walk away with a smile and a wonderful learning experience...Offering only private or semi-private lessons. This really gives the student to benefit from each session. Beautiful secluded farm located in Mt. Airy md. Right in the middle of Patuxant park, I believe everyone should get to enjoy horses so I offer affordable rates. Hands on everything. Trail rides available. I love working with kids and using horses as therapy tools. It's rewarding to see how far any student can come just from one lesson 90 percent hugs tears are rotting by themselves by the first lesson. No matter child or adult. This is so rewarding to see them show up scared and afraid but leave running by themselves confident with a huge smile on her face.
