Kathy is enthusiastic about teaching golf. She is perceptive and is able to impart corrective actions to her students that improves their swing that they can begin using immediately.

    Frequently asked questions

I like to begin working with a new student by spending a few minutes discussing their golf experience, gaining a better insight into their interest in the game and their personal golf goals.

I take great pride in watching the individual golfer enhance their skills - making their time on the golf course more fun! To enhance a players performance I enjoy learning about students as individuals, including both long & short term goals for their golf game. I like to include a swing evaluation, (for the experienced golfer), and advance their understanding of game fundamentals through swing drills, use of video whenever possible and practice time to fit their schedule.

I am an alumnus of the Golf Academy of America, San Diego, California (1999). I have been employed in the golf industry for more than 20 years with more than 24 years teaching/coaching experience.

I was encouraged to by my local golf professional to become a teaching professional. He felt that my knowledge and passion for the game along with my personality would be an excellent fit. I remain ever so grateful - I love going to work, I enjoy working with people from so many different backgrounds and helping them to get pleasure out of playing golf!

I've worked with students as young as 5 years of age up to the age of 80. I particularly enjoy introducing the game of golf to beginners, but also working with the more seasoned veterans of the game - conducting clinics for specific areas of the game such as bunker play, short game and course management. Private, semi-private and group lessons are available year round to help you master your game!

I would advise potential students to consider engaging with an instructor who makes you feel comfortable the moment you first meet them. If you're intimidated by the Golf Pro, you're probably not going to enjoy what you're learning - after all, golf is a game and it's meant to be enjoyed not just today, but for a lifetime!

Why do you play or want to learn to play the game, for example; business networking purposes,...for the social aspects - meeting and making new friends, to spend time outdoors and enjoy "Mother Nature", to join a league, make the high school team or maybe even get a college scholarship?

What are your long and short term goals for your golf game?

How much time do you have during the week to work on your game/practice new skills?
