Margarete Thomsen has been teaching piano for over 40 years. In addition to having completed the Doctor of Musical Arts degree, Dr. Thomsen is member of the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA), the Michigan Music Teachers Association (MMTA), the Livonia Area Piano Teachers Forum (LAPTF), and the National Federation of Music Clubs. She has served as president of the LAPTF and the State Audition Chair for Michigan Music Teachers Association. I have been playing music in one form or another for over 40 years. I took my first guitar lesson when I was 5 and have never looked back. Along the way I have developed a passion for music both performing as well as writing original music. I have released 4 solo projects as well as a band EP. I am also on the Worship Arts team at Crossroads Community Church (10 years). I have given lessons for the last 15 years and love passing the love and the knowledge of music on to someone else.
