We are a professional and goal oriented Hunter/Jumper lesson barn. Our instructors are USHJA certified trainers who participate in continuing education each year. Our students learn english style riding on quality lesson horses/pony's in a family enviroment. We have exceptional horse care, a professional but relaxed enviroment and love having fun with horses.
I don't enjoy the work I do.....I LOVE the work I do! Love everything from keeping the barn running to watching a rider succede with a new skill or get on a horse for the first time or a rider who just loves hanging out with horse and being around them or a rider earning the ribbon they want at a show or the horse who's training finally pays off!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Our program starts students in 1 hour private lessons to get them familiar with safety as well as our policies and procedures. Students start by learning about grooming and tacking up their horse as well as mounted instruction learning the basics of position and balance at the walk & trot.
As students progress they become independant in their horse care, learn about cantering and jumping and more advanced skills on the flat (Dressage for jumping riders). Riders are able to lease or take practice rides on GES lesson hores as well as have the oppertunity to horse show or become a boarder.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have training in child developement as well as holding my United States Hunter Jumper Association Trainer Certification.
I have been working with children for 27 years, teaching children and adults for 15 years. 12 of those years is as a Hunter/Jumper professional. I have been part of the Michigan Hunter/Jumper scene since 1992.
