Beginner & Intermediate Golf Lessons
About
Hello! Thank you for considering me to help your golf game! My name is Mike, I'm 34 years old, a native of Plymouth, currently residing in Livonia with my wife and 14 month old Daughter. I attended the Golf Academy of America in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina from 2007-2009. I Currently hold a USGA Handicap Index of 1.5. I enjoy working mostly with beginners, and intermediate players (of all ages). Everybody and every-body is different! I focus on optimal setup positions, fundamentals, club selection, and course management (what shot to hit when, and why). I take a fundamental approach to every lesson (grip, stance, posture and mental imagery). From full swing, to an expertise in short game (chipping, pitching and putting). I love working with eager to learn players of any age.
I take a great deal of pride watching players gain more confidence in themselves playing the game of golf!

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Start with the basics! We all want to hit the long ball, and make lots of putts. The golf swing is a series of chain reactions - all starting from a fundamentally sound setup position. Having confidence in your stance, alignment, ball position, and grip is the difference between good and bad golf shots. Once fundamentals are automatic, we move into letting it rip off the club face freely and accurately.
