I am passionate about helping people discover a new way of eating that supports a healthy body and an active lifestyle. I am both a CrossFit Level 1 trainer and a Precision Nutrition Level 1 coach. Through my program, you will learn foundational nutrition principles that you can apply to your busy life in order to look, feel, and perform better.

I love working with people that are totally new to talking about fitness and health. It might be a topic they are just starting to warm up to the idea of. My program is habit-based and individualized, so there's no rigid protocol to follow on Day 1, so beginners never feel like they're starting from behind. We work together to create a program that will work for your lifestyle long-term. For this reason, the program also works just as well for folks with a lot of experience in diet and exercise. Maybe you're someone who's tried everything and has even had some results and success over the years. The program is rooted in mastering the basics, so we won't try to woo you with another flashy short-term diet. Whether you're totally new to nutritional habits or totally burnt out with everything you've tried, this program can work for you.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

Every new student starts their journey with a two-hour consultation. Here, I will listen to your story. What are your hopes and concerns? What have you tried? What has worked well, and what hasn't worked so well? Where do you want to GO with this? From there, we can begin to build your unique program based on your unique story.


What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

• Precision Nutrition - Level 1

• Precision Nutrition Exercise Nutrition certificate

• CrossFit - Level 1

• B.A. in Economics, University of Minnesota

• Outside of my nutrition coaching, I also coach group fitness classes at Clandestine Strength & Conditioning


Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

My consultations are $80/hour, with the first session discounted at $80 for a two-hour session.


How did you get started teaching?

I started my fitness journey in 2013 when I discovered CrossFit. I quickly found that I didn't just want to improve in CrossFit (although I was always excited to hit new PRs or learn new skills), but I also wanted to learn everything about functional movement. I swiftly extended this passion into the kitchen upon learning about the Paleo diet and lifestyle. I knew I needed to formalize my training, so I signed up for the most reputable  certification courses in the field: CrossFit and Precision Nutrition.


What types of students have you worked with?

Some of my students are CrossFit fanatics looking for a sports performance edge, and I love the enthusiasm they bring, but most of my students are totally new to working out and eating well. They are enthusiastic but possibly a little skeptical. "Can food really change your life?" they might ask. After my three-month program, they find the answer: yes.


What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

Almost anyone you hire will have experience delivering results. If you are looking for sustainable, long-lasting results, the search for the right teacher gets a little trickier. I encourage every student to find a teacher they connect with. I start my program by listening to your story, and building a game plan that works with your values and your goals. That way, we can make your results a lifestyle.


What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?

Is it your goal to use nutrition to treat a medical condition? If the answer is yes, you may want to consult your physician or a registered dietician to address those needs. As your coach, I am happy to partner with them in order to get the best help for you, but understand I am unable to offer medical advice.
