Emily Brandt is the trainer and riding instructor behind Brandt Equestrian LLC. Emily’s philosophies of teaching people and horses are rooted in patience, kindness, and cooperative understanding that leads to the improvement in your overall relationship with your horse. With a focus on teaching correct horse and rider balance, confidence, and the proper use of the aids, riders from most any discipline can benefit from the down-to-earth, positive methods to reach their own riding goals. Specializing in utilizing the foundations of dressage in developing young horses through cross training show horses.

Emily is available to travel to teach at your facility with riders’ own horses. Lesson horses are unfortunately not available at this time.

To see the progress made and the partnerships strengthened is by far the greatest part about teaching riders! Even the smallest improvements can mean the most if you realize where you’ve come from.

Contact Emily in order to discuss your goals with horse! New students typically schedule an introductory first lesson where we can evaluate your partnership and skills, and help guide us to creating an individual program for success.

While Emily was fortunate enough to learn to ride from a young age, the drive to become a knowledgeable professional has led her to work with several successful trainers in the industry, from dressage to saddleseat. Emily also earned her Bachelors of Science degree in Equine Management from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls, where she also successfully completed with the IHSA Hunt Seat team. 

Private Lessons $45, typically 1 hour 

Training starts $450/ month (includes 3-4 sessions per week). Pricing may vary depending on rider/horse needs

From children just being introduced to horses for the first time, to aged adults who are getting back into horses later in life, to seasoned competitors, all skill levels are welcome.

The best advice for someone searching for a riding teacher is to find someone who inspires you and understands where you want to be with your horse. Also, seek out someone who is safety conscious and respectful while working with you and your horse.
