About
Zac's journey in golf began at a young age, building clubs alongside his father. With a deep-seated love for the sport, Zac found his niche in the industry as a club builder and fitter. His dedication led to him earning certification as a Mitchell Golf Master Club Fitter and Builder in 2006.
Through working closely with clients to optimize their equipment, Zac discovered a dual passion for fitting and teaching. This realization prompted him to enroll in the PGA program to pursue a career as a teaching professional. Following his certification as a PGA Professional in 2013, Zac gained valuable experience at various courses and in retail settings.
In 2018, Zac transitioned to GolfTec, where he honed his coaching skills over five years, delivering more than 8,000 lessons. In 2023, he launched Homegrown Golf, LLC, offering mobile golf services equipped with cutting-edge technology to enhance clients' game experiences from the convenience of their homes.
Excitement greeted Zac in 2024 when Pin Point approached him with plans for a state-of-the-art golf teaching facility. Embracing the opportunity, Zac eagerly accepted the role of Director of Golf, where he could seamlessly integrate his passions for teaching, fitting, and club building into his daily work.
Zac resides in Cary with his wife and four children. Outside of work, you'll often find him immersed in activities with his kids including flag football, soccer, swim, ballet, bow hunting or fishing, woodworking, and of course swinging clubs.
