Body & Brain Yoga
About
Body & Brain Yoga is an integrative, holistic approach to wellness. Our classes combine stretching, breathing and meditation to connect the mind and body. Our mission is to guide our students toward healthy, mindful and sustainable living to benefit individuals and communities. I am a certified Health Coach and have been teaching at Body & Brain centers in DC and NC since 2012.
I am helping people find their own natural healing power and make lifestyle changes to live healthier, happier, more peaceful lives. When they tell me they are sleeping better, have less pain, have better digestion, and/or can move more freely, that's the best reward.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We recommend a private, introductory session first. The session lasts about an hour. We will check flexibility, balance, breathing and discuss the student's wellness goals. Then we can make recommendations on which classes, workshops, and/or private sessions, will help them achieve their goals.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Certified Health Coach through Arizona State University
Black Belt in Dahn Mu Do (Korean tai chi)
Certified Brain Education instructor
How did you get started teaching?
I began as a member of Body & Brain Yoga and felt so many benefits, including lowered blood pressure, weight loss, improved mood and more energy just within a few months. I realized I wanted to share this practice with others to help them improve their health and well-being naturally.
What types of students have you worked with?
My students have ranged in age from as young as 10 to over 80. This practice is doable by just about anyone. We can always modify our exercises to accomodate the student's physical condition. The key is mindfulness. As they improve, they can do more.
