Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to match them with a proper horse that will give them confidence. I have them groom and tack and ride the horse to get comfortable. We work on a balanced seat and all the mechanics of steering and asking the Horse to move forward.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been competing and training for 40 years. I have trained with Olympic Event Riders, Dressage Riders and competed through 3 day Preliminary Level. I also was a 4-H leader for 20 years and took many students to States and Eastern States to represent NH.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I charge $50 per hour at farm and $70 per hour to travel off farm. I also offer 1/2 hour rides for $25.
How did you get started teaching?
Always loved working with kids and adults to learn true horsemanship and how to connect with these magnificent horses. I used to teach family and friends how to ride when I was in middle school.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students as young as two years old and as old as 89 years old. From beginners too experienced. From dressage, eventing/jumping, to trail riding and western riding and Driving.
