I'm Pedro Barrera, an operatic tenor and the founder of The True Voice Studio. For the first eight years of my training, I was treated as a baritone, so I spent years building technique around a voice type that wasn't actually mine. Rebuilding from baritone to tenor, starting over almost from scratch, taught me more about how voices work than any single method could have. My operatic career has taken me to stages in South America, New York City, and Europe.
