Hello and welcome to my music studio. My name is Kimberly Walton, and I have over 20 years of experience teaching private lessons and group classes virtually and in person. I am based in New York City, and I love teaching all types of music, from voice and piano lessons to songwriting and music theory. My students have performed at Carnegie Hall, Madison Square Garden, Symphony Space, the Barclay Center, and the Apollo Theater, among other venues. I have received a community education award from the Grammy Foundation, and I am an active member of National Association of Teachers of Singing, Piano Teachers Congress of New York, and the National Association of Music Education, I have developed vocal and piano curricula that builds on the interests and desires of individual students, while cultivating technique, creativity, and artistry across genres.
