FAQs

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

I like to get the player on the course for at least 9 holes so I can access their needs along with the areas I feel need the most work.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have spent 3 years playing with some of the best in the world, and I've played with regular joes who are playing the game for the enjoyment of it. I feel I am very down to earth with my students, and I will help them become better players

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

Normally I go with $45 for a 30-minute lesson. And $60 for an hour lesson. Playing lessons (a full 18 hole round) is $160

How did you get started teaching?

I started teaching when I was living outside of Raleigh. I have a great gift of knowledge of the game, and I want to help people by passing that on

What types of students have you worked with?

I have worked with everyone from juniors trying to get to the next level, to ladies wanting to putt better, to scratch players

Describe a recent event you are fond of.

One of the most recent events I found is a tournament in Ablemarle NC. It is a great tournament run by some Great people

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

Find someone who is open and honest with you. And someone who will explain to you why they are having you do certain things. It will help you better understand the game

What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?

I think students should ask their teachers as many questions as they have or need. Do not be afraid to ask your teacher. That's what they are there for. And most teachers love answering questions about the game
