About
I specialize in training difficult horses, green horses, young horses, misunderstood horses, and mares. I enjoy teaching riders how to communicate harmoniously with their equine partner through understanding and correct riding.
My favorite part about my work is when a horse and rider make a break through in their training. I live for the mutual epiphany!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I do not have a lesson farm and can only teach students that already have their own horses.
An in-depth introduction to their riding experiences & history. As well as an in-depth history with their equine partner. I like to check saddle fit (with permission) and I like to go over the horse before riding to make sure there aren't any soreness areas that indicate what exercises may need to be used for that lesson.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have trained both of my horses to Third Level in dressage. I earned my USDF Bronze Medal on my first horse. Her daughter, Dezdemona, is my current show horse, whom I have bred, raised and trained primarily on my own. Dezi and I are making the push to move up to Fourth Level this season (2020). I previously have broke & trained thoroughbreds for racing, I have retrained off-the-track thoroughbreds for riding, I have trained young horses - warmbloods, ponies, Arabians, draft horses - I have experience reconditioning older horses that have issues with soundness and have fixed their way of going so that they are more likely to be sound as they continue to age; I am also certified in Equine Myofascial Release Therapy, which assists greatly in my ability to figure out problem areas for the horse and to help relax the horse and build correct muscle memory.
