I am so glad we found Michelle of Take Note Lessons. We have a 5th grader and 8th grader who both actively enjoy piano lessons and are both progressing well. Michelle adapts her teaching style to fit students' personalities - we see this demonstrated weekly as our girls certainly have their individual quirks....and nothing seems to phase her! She's open and warm enough that they both feel they can talk to her and yet they quickly buckle down to work too. Strongly recommend!

I have taken 3 lessons with Dylan so far and I am really enjoying them. He is very good at picking up on what level I am at and how to push me without being harsh. He makes sure I am playing correctly before moving on and gives good practice exercises. It's a lot of fun to learn with Dylan and he takes the time to really look and listen to me playing and provide feedback which is the whole point of one on one lessons. He is very knowledgeable about music and very humble. He handwrites the tabs for lessons which is totally awesome. Looking forward to keep learning from him.

I have been getting guitar lessons with Bryan for over two years. As a forty something year old, who can be very stuck in his ways, Bryan has been abundantly patient with my slow learning process. He is thoroughly knowledgable of the guitar, adapts to my learning curve, finds real life examples that helps move me along in the right direction. So very thankful I decided to go with Bryan as my teacher. He does the music world good simply being the kind of teacher he is.

His knowledge of music is deep and encyclopedic, spanning the Western tradition as well as the diverse cultures of the world. Most importantly, through his use of the Aesthetic Realism Teaching Method, he is able to encourage the best in his students. As I have seen in classes with him at the Manhattan School of Music and the Aesthetic Realism Foundation, and in private lessons, and have seen, too, in my own career as a music teacher, this method enables a student’s musical expression to flourish. There isn’t a day goes by that I don’t think of and benefit from what I’ve learned from Dr. Green.

DJ is absolutely fantastic! He is teaching my 8 and 12 year old boys piano and guitar. He is a phenomenal musician and got my kids super excited about music in general and practicing in particular. Amazing! He is young, chill and knowlegeable. Always on time, always great attitude. Fell lucky to have found DJ. Highly recommend :)
