Paul learned the game on Chicago’s only 18-hole public golf course, Jackson Park G.C., and went on to play Division I college golf, and on mini tours including the Tar Heel Tour (now EGolf Tour), and the Golden Bear Tour (now Gateway Tour). He is a member of the Advisory Board for Worldjuniorgolf.com, of Cobra-Puma Golf's professional staff, and is still an accomplished player.

In 2015, Paul shot 69 at Montammy C.C. to make it through local qualifying for the US Open. He also made 9 birdies en route to winning the NJPGA Open Pro-Am at Bedens Brook C.C. with Forsgate’s Team. In 2014, Paul shot 69 in the NJ Assistant Section Championship and made it to the round of 16 on the NJAPGA Match Play Championship. In 2012, he shot 68 to qualify for the Metropolitan Open at Plainfield, C.C. and finished T-5th at the Bridgestone Premiere Pro-Am at Firestone C.C. in Akron, OH.

Paul uses the most up to date technology and coaches a large number of junior golfers, several of whom are the best in their age groups in the NY/NJ area. Fifteen of his students have earned spots in the US Kids Golf World Championships at Pinehurst Resort and. For adult students, Paul creates custom group and private coaching programs to help them improve as fast as possible. These programs involve a planned, comprehensive approach and address all aspects of the game.

Paul is a member of Proponent Group, the premiere network of golf instructors and coaches whose membership includes more than half of the GOLF Magazine Top 100 Teachers, more than 150 section Teachers of the Year, and more than a dozen National Teachers of the Year. He is a National Staff member for the SeeMore Putter Institute, having taught putting for SeeMore on the PGA Tour. Paul is also TPI and K-Vest certified and he has completed numerous certification programs to get the best results for his clients, including programs offered by the PGA and the U.S. Kids Golf Foundation. In 2015 Paul was acknowledge by US Kids Golf with honorable mention for the Top 50 U.S. Kids Teachers.
