About
I have been a PGA Professional for 10 years and teaching golf for over 15 years. Throughout these 15 years I have had a chance to study and work along side some of the greatest teachers in the game. I have experience in teaching all levels of players as well as professionals. Each lesson is different and depends on the ability and what each student is looking to accomplish. I am a big believer in using technology, such as video and launch monitor, so each students swing can be viewed and have all of the ball and club data measured so there is never any guessing.
As a PGA Professional I wear many hats. Of all the things I do day in and day out I truly enjoy teaching the most. What makes it most enjoyable is being able to help each student improve and reach their desired goals.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Before working with a student for the first time I do an initial interview to get a background on ability and find out what each student is looking to accomplish. Once this is complete I spend an hour with each student assessing their current game and then writing up a game plan for what we need to do going forward.

As far as education and training I have the following:
BS: Business Administration. Concentration: Professional Golf Management. Methodist College, Fayettville, NC

Worked alongside Jim McLean, Dave Stockton, Michael Breed, Fred Shoemaker during golf schools.
Each year I travel to see two top 50 instructors to spend the day with and observe their teaching styles.
Certified Callaway, TaylorMade, Titleist, Ping, XXIO club Fitter
I teach over 500 individual lessons annualy.

If going to do a bunch of lessons we can discuss a package to help save some money.
How did you get started teaching?
I got started teaching during my college years. While doing required internships for the Professional Golf Management program I started teaching juniors and beginners and had a lot of success while doing so. I was always able to find a way to communicate very easily with people and get them to understand and accomplish the task that they needed to acheive.
