I have a degree in piano performance from Temple University and have had many successful students in my time teaching. I've conducted chiors, directed musical productions, accompanied solo and groups, taught elementary school music classes for the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. I'm currently employed as a piano instructor at the George School, an international boarding school in Newtown Pa. I specialize in the Taubman approach to piano technique to playing so I can help and prevent pain while playing. I also hold annual student recitals at Jacobs Music where I'm an affiliated teacher. I have bachelor's and master's degree in music education. Piano was my main instrument for my undergraduate degree. I am a full-time vocal music teacher at an elementary school. I am classically trained pianist but also play by ear. I have experience accompanying myself or a group of students while performing a variety of styles. (using written piano notation as well as accompaniment I figured out by ear.) I consider myself a patient teacher that teaches students to be patient with themselves as well.
