About this pro

This is a unique program. Our workouts are on the field and off the field. Football is a just a game. But its a game that can change and better lives, your physical fitness and your football mind. I have been fortunate enough to help players better their best effort, achieve a higher level of performance and achieve life changing lessons that can change their game. You will be in better mental football shape than physical football shape with me.

Here is why this is a unique program:  I am not your typical private coach. Im not a fitness training coach nor am I a track coach. I don't help you get in tremendous physical conditioning. I get you in  mental football condition. I help teach the game and to understand the why's, the what's and the how's and use the game to have fun and be an amazing person and player. I want to know the player on an individual basis, whats in their head and help them become a coachable player and someone to make your loved one's proud of.

*Learn to LOVE the game and become a better person because of the game.

*Understand X's and O's.

*Technique and how to use our body to win against the opponent no matter what your position is.

*How to watch film CORRECTLY and know your opponent better then he knows his self

*Learn how to prepare for practice and a game.

*Build a plan of work and an ethic that will make a you a better player in practice and game.

Important to know this, with me helping you, your coaches will NEVER be wrong. Wrether you like them or not, they are your coach and its their team and their scheme. That is your team coaches job. I will not supercede your team coach and step on their feet. I help you and your coaches be a better and more productive member of that team.

Know whats going to happen before the ball is snapped and how to read the opposing side of the ball.

I dont run my players into the ground. Again, this isnt hell week. Its about learning the game at a very indepth cerebral level on the field and in front of film cut-ups.  We can meet in starbucks or something to evaluate & break down film. We will hunt down possible film of your oppenents and break it down.  Again, my job is for you to be in mental football shape as well.

Oh yeah, I do not yell and scream.....I don't need to!!

Working with young people and the comradery that come with teaching the greatest sport on the planet

I have been taking several sessions with Coach D on how to prepare, watch film and evaluate my opponent. I never knew of all the little things that it takes to become a great football player. He is easy to understand, he helps me become a coachable player and he's super smart at the game of football. Just listening to him I think I have become a smarter player. Now I know why other players want to play for him. I totally recommend Mr. Daniel as a private coach. He can definitely change your game because he's changed mine

My son played for Tim, his QB coach and Offensive Coordinator. When Tim started my son as a sophomore, most did not like the decision. Many people thought my son was not a QB or even a football player for that matter and that he should stick to basketball. Three years under Tim Daniel in high school, my son received a D-1 scholarship and was a starting Quarterback in the best conference in the country and then two years in the NFL. Coach D has to be one of the best football talent evaluators in this country and when it comes to X's and O's, there are not much better out there. He takes a player's strengths and capitalizes on that. Not only physically but mentally as player and builds winning football players. Most importantly, he takes a genuine interest in his players. He loves the star player and the water boy equally. Tim Daniel is a solid football coach and a person.

This guy knows football! I have to say I was a little bit discouraged at first because it was tough getting on his schedule. But once I saw him work with my stepson who is a upper level 14 year old player, now I know why he's a wanted man. We have had 3 sessions with Coach D. I wanted my son to understand formation and set recognition from the defensive side. Watching them practice and listening to coach D, I thought this would fly right over my son's head. They worked defending the run-pass option scheme from the linebacker position and how to read it, understand alignment, typical tendencies from that type of offense and techniques on angles. Coach obviously gauges the player and teaches based off of that player's knowledge and ability. This type of private coaching session is outstanding. I don't know anyone who has a private coaching program like this outside of the weight room. Most importantly, my son loves this guy. I would highly recommend coach Daniel to all ages.

I have had the opportunity to work with Coach Tim Daniel as elite camp coaches a couple times but I know Tim as an opposing coach. I have have coached against Tim for some 12 years and I have to say this, he is one of the very few opposing coaches that gave me fits during game time every year we played his teams. He has an unbelievable ability to see the field as a coach and one of the best coaches I have ever seen in making game time adjustments and obviously is highly skilled at recognition, talent eval and film breakdown. He can breakdown a great player's weakness and exploit it, sees hidden tendencies and exploits it and he ism outstanding at preparation. One instance against me, he fielded a offense of kids who have never saw varsity play ever. I had several D-1 players and it was one of the best teams I have ever coached. I had plans to keep the score down out of respect to their program and their kids....They beat us by 3 touchdowns. Coach Daniel out-coached me, he out schemed me and he prepared his young men at an extraordinary level. No matter who he had, his players play for him and we ALWAYS had to prepare. Tim is a very very good coach and an even better human being. We are adversaries, colleagues, a mentor and I am proud to know him as a friend. If you want your player to learn the game of football correctly from the grass to the film room....this is the guy!

FAQs

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

*Finding out and LISTEN to what the player wants to accomplish out of our sessions and what level the player is currently at.

*What his ultimate goals as a player, what his goals as a young man as well as his future goals.

*Not every player is a D-1 or professional bound player. Sometimes players and parents are disappointed to hear things they dont want to hear.

*Assessing his current abilities and building a platform of work that will get him to a realistic level of performance that the player desires.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Over 17 years of coaching at the varsity high school and the JUCO and Division 1 collegiate level. Coached every position on the field except for kickers.

Wrote a book on installing the midline option offense with the zone scheme and technique.

Have been Offensive and Defensive Coordinator. Coached multiple D-1 quarterbacks, dozens of D1 offensive lineman, linebackers, defensive lineman, receivers, tight ends, running backs.

My best trait as a coach is the ability to relate to the player as an individual and with my knowledge of the sport at every position, I can help the player develop into a better player.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

$30 per field or classroom session.

How did you get started teaching?

I learned from the greatest football coach I have ever known - my Father, a long time winning hall of fame coach and player.

What types of students have you worked with?

High school and college players

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

*Be honest on what your expectations are as a player

*Love the sport. Winning becomes easier when you love to PRACTICE. Everyone loves the game, not everyone loves to practice. Thats what will make you different and better.

*REALLY listen to what a prospective private coach tells you when selling himself.  No coach is an EXPERT and that is the truth. If he or she tells you that...they are wrong!

*Dont let a coach gurantee a final outcome. Guarentee's only come in effort and commitment.

*The coach should ask more questions than you should at first.

*Once you feel good about your coach, TRUST HIM!

....oh, and Longsnapping is the best position on the field!  Ill tell you why later.

What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?

*Can I be honest with myself as a player?

*My current level of ability?

*What do i want from this?

*Can I commit to the sport outside of the classroom and the team practice field?

*Do I want the sport to make me a better person?
