About
Most PGA and other golf instructors teach the golf swing mechanics but really do not teach the Complete game of Golf. I also teach the golf swing, however, (Playing lessons with Bill) is my feature lesson and the most instruction for your money. I teach how to play the game of golf. You learn how to practice, warm-up before a round, play better, faster and have a lot more fun. I teach beginners every aspect of the game, from proper course etiquette, course maintenance, speed of play, cart rules, and courtesy to course strategy and the tricks that top players use, to get out of trouble. You actually will have a professional caddie and instructor for a full round of golf I also work with intermediate and advanced players. I have studied the teaching methods of the top instructors in the country like Ben Hogan, Sean Foley, David Leadbetter, Martin Chuck, Butch Harmon as well as many others and have a library of over 15,000 lessons, of every aspect of the game. I enjoy working with all skill levels, My goal is to increase the number of people who keep playing golf, by improving the speed of play, improving skills and making the golf experience more enjoyable. Come Learn to Play the game the right way and have a lot more fun.
I really enjoy watching people have fun playing golf, hitting the ball better, scoring better, playing faster, and bragging about how well they played today and wanting to play again tomorrow

How did you get started teaching?
I was the 1967 Southern Oregon Conference Championship runner-up And finished in the top 20 State Championship did not play college golf because I had to work to pay for my college, I Tried to qualify for PGA membership but was unable to pass the playing test, between school marriage job, I tried twice, expensive, had a baby got, what my wife said, was a real job, but I continued to play golf and study the golf swing. a few years later things changed and I began teaching Robert Poen's Ultimate Golf Swing Method in Southern Calif Then for 30 years I taught my own way. I learned from my father and PGA Professional Charley Sullivan I have given private lessons at the request of friends and fellow golfers and have been doing so for 30+ years. Somebody would be having an issue with there golf swing and I would watch them and say try this, and it worked almost every single time. I eat, sleep, and breathe golf, I may not be a top pro, but I know the game of golf and how to teach it.
What types of students have you worked with?
From a 3-year-old who has never touched a club to a 70+-year-old Professional and everything in between
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Interview the instructor and make sure he is a good fit for what you want, You can pay a lot of money for a name, and not get what you are looking for, Personality, patience, humor, and most of all results are important. Good luck with your search, and remember the instructors playing record means nothing, a majority of all the top instructors in the country shot in the 80's the ones who consistently shoot in the 60's play or practice 60 hrs a week.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Before a student picks an instructor they need to make some decisions. Why am I taking lessons? Where do I want my golf game to be in a month a year, 3 years, career, how good do you want to get, how fast do you want to get good, and how much time and money you are willing to spend to reach your goal, Answer those questions and then you will have the information you need to pick the best instructor for you, Good luck in your search
