Cathy Kim Golf

Cathy Kim has made a name for herself as a rising star in the Las Vegas community by specializing in innovative youth player development and advanced women's instruction. Originally from Seattle, WA, Cathy moved to the valley in 2013 when she joined the shop staff at TPC Summerlin as an Assistant Golf Professional and Nike Staffer.

Demand for Cathy's services was slow at first. But with every new lesson, came a new success story (and a new friendship). Soon, demand for the most "volted out" of TPC's golf professionals began to surpass the supply. Her "Get Get Golf Ready" programming--a summer clinic Cathy designed specifically for TPC's female members--increased the demand for Cathy's time outside the golf shop even more.

With that in mind, TPC Summerlin has decided to move Cathy out of the air-conditioning and onto the practice facility full-time in the the Fall of 2015. As TPC Summerlin's new Director of Player Development, Cathy will now be able to dedicate her time to advanced clinical instruction, Junior PGA programming, corporate event planning, and the continued development of special clinics for all ages and handicaps. Additionally, with Cathy's new title comes a broader reach, as she is now able to offer Public golfers private instruction at TPC Summerlin, one of the most exclusive and well-groomed courses in the country.
