Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First, I would find out what level golfer my client is or thinks he or she is. After a simple conversation about their golf game, I would encourage my clients to tell me a little about themselves and why they like, love or even hate the game of golf. Then, I would ask them where they want to take their game or if if there was anything specific they need immediate help with. Improvement is guaranteed.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
33 years of playing golf.
Jr. PGA Champion.
High School Champion.
College Letterman.
Excellent resources including active College and High School Coaches.(one being a NCAA Hall of Famer)
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
No. I do not charge for any lesson at the beginning. I only charge when my students show clear, positive results. If and when any money is exchanged, I am not doing this to get rich. So, anybody can afford quality golf lessons and enrich their lives with the game of golf.
How did you get started teaching?
I got started teaching when I was the captain of my High School Team.
What types of students have you worked with?
Any level of golfer. Does not matter.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
US Open sectional qualifying.
Receiving a full-ride scholarship to play college golf again.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I would tell them that even I still take and pay for lessons even though I have achieved a high level of success. Golf is such a mentally and physically taxing sport. No one can go at completely alone and reach their highest potential.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
I would say pay attention to how your body and mind feels while playing. Take mental or physical results of both the good and not so good parts of their game. If I know what is bothering the student, it is easier to help said student.
