Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I establish a student's strength and weaknesses within the first 10 minutes of introduction. The lesson will begin after this introduction and fact finding interview. I teach according to a person's body, shape, size, and "ailments". Every golfer is different and should be shown how to swing/play to his/her fullest potential.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
As a professional player and Teacher for over 25 years, I have instructed players of ALL LEVELS (Pros to beginners). I enjoy watching a player smile from ear to ear after hitting consistent "pure shots"! Being a PGA professional or a "certified" instructer from Prestigious schools is a bonus but, my students enjoy the fact that i'm a player and will spend time with students to ensure their progress.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Please go to my website(Outlawpromoandmarketing.com) or call me 702-830-6032. The time of year, facility, range of instruction, and time of day are all price factors. As you'll find as in my lessons, "variables" mean evrything in solving problems.
How did you get started teaching?
i was an accomplished player as a junior golfer in South Carolina in the 70's - 80's. As such, I've been a student of the game by working the golf course and assisting the PGA Pro in group lessons and being used as an example for teaching the swing.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with Professionals to Beginners. What they have in common in their lessons are guaranteed results!
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Instructing 5 Junior golfers from a local high school for 4 days in 2 weeks and having 2 of them tying their best round with the other 3 breaking their best round creating great competition between them and growing their passion for the game.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I recommend asking for referals as you would with any other professional service. Investigate the Teacher's history of "Passion for the game" instead of just "making a buck" by reading a few instructions from a golf magazine.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Ask Golf Teachers about their experience in working with a body frame with/without physical problems that you have. You are not built like Tiger Woods/Michelle Wie, so why should you be taught to swing like them? You should by taught according to your body's shape, size, strengths, and weaknesses!
