What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I am a PGA Professional and Certified PGA Professional in the career path of Instruction.

I am also Titleist Performance Institute Certified.

How did you get started teaching?

I started in high school by helping my mother's friends with their golf swings. Seeing as I really enjoyed doing this, I decided to go to college to become a PGA Professional.

What types of students have you worked with?

I have worked with all types of students, both men and women of various ages.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

Find a teacher that communicates well with you. Everyone seems to have different instruction methods and I see this mainly with how the instructor can communicate with the student. Make sure your instructor is able to relay information in a way that is easy for you to understand and execute.

What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?

What are your short term golf goals? In other words, what would you like to accomplish this golf season?

What are your long term golf goals? Where do you want to be in 3-5 years with your golf game?

These are great questions to ask yourself before starting up with lessons so the instructor can help you achieve your goals.
