Ron A. says, "Randy knows how to photograph and teach as both a world wide professional photographer and educator of photography. One of his assistants is a working pro who works with him for years because he told me when I met him that he learns something new every time. He also enjoys teaching beginners because they haven't developed bad techniques yet.
He uses different ways to teach and adopts his teaching to each person making it more understandable and more complete and fun. At least that's what he told me....ha, ha..... I'm sure he does.
As a photographer there is always place for improvement. Randy helped me elevate my skills and got my photography to the highest level. I use things I learned from Randy daily in my work. If there are pros and cons to the way you work or set things up, Randy explains them clearly and gives you options. Randy not only refreshed what I needed to know, but taught me few things differently so I could make the camera work in a way better suited for me. As a result he helped me get the exposure and colors much closer to being really good right out of the camera. Improving my workflow and minimizing post production work.
Randy doesn't care whether you have a Nikon, Canon, Sony, other cameras or even a phone. He researched them ahead of time. In the end it's all how you use it and he can teach you all the fundamentals and more, giving you information that you will use to take pictures for the rest of your life. If you don't have a camera or are looking for advice on what to buy, he will tell you things like "Is the camera comfortable to hold and view images on, both before, during and after you look to take a picture?." He makes recommendations based on your feedback and answers.
I highly recommended him.... Randy teaches you what you need to know to be not better, but much better and can teach you how digital photography works.... By asking you the right questions, depending on your answers he explains things to you so you can better understand and control your equipment. He can keep it basic and simple, or really go deep into it if you want to learn it and understand photography that much more. It doesn't matter how much or little you know about photography, he makes you better and with appreciation and understanding. It's all good." Read more
