I am different than alot of other teachers because I assess your present skills with a realistic view of play on the course and then proceed to fine tune your skills for more enjoyment as you play more.
I make a special effort to put alittle fun into the ideas behind the game. If I choose a drill or exercise to help you, I make sure it has a practical application

What types of students have you worked with?
Beginning and intermediate students are those that I work with most easily. I am very diligent with the fundamentals of grip ,arms ball position and swingpath. In addition I like intermediate handicap golfers that are able to critique their own movements and follow along with my suggestions

I worked on the greens night crew at the most recent Senior PGA championchip at Oak Hill.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Be willing to accept new fundamentals into your mode of doing things and learn to practice intellegently after the fact.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
They should have a VERY CLEAR IDEA of what they want to accomplish.
The lesson can be frustrating if you aren't sure of what you are looking for.... And it takes longer to figure it out on my part.
