FAQs


What is your typical process for working with a new student?

We start with a discussion of previous experience, strengths and weaknesses.  Then identify goals for each individual, followed by an evaluation lesson to establish level and ability.


What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

kristen has 40 years of riding experience.  Competitive experience both nationally and internationally.  15 years of experience as Director of a school of horsemanship, author of a horsemanship curriculum.  Professional consultant and video instructor for Equestrian Neightion.

How did you get started teaching?

Kristen started teaching in 1993 when starting the Fairfield University Equestrian Team. Prior to that she had shown competitively with national rankings for 13 years.  Since 1993 Kristen has continued teaching, training horses and mentoring young professionals to develop their teaching abilities.
