Patience, availability for questions and dedication to my desire to learn best define my experience with Patrick. It was such dedication that also made him call me out when he didn’t think I was doing my best or was making careless mistakes. Perhaps this wouldn’t be that outstanding except that Patrick did all of this long distance; he was in Philadelphia and I was in Delaware. He was timely in mailing me assignments and tests, and even more so in grading and returning them. I learned more from him in the 2 years I studied with him than I did in my last year of theory in my undergrad at music school. If you have the opportunity to study with Patrick Kreeger, consider yourself lucky. You couldn’t find better quality teaching elsewhere.”

Lessons with Tim were always fun and productive. He gave specific suggestions about technique to give me a better sound and he taught me a variety of ways to practice that continue to help me learn and understand jazz standards today. I have taken 3 lessons with Dylan so far and I am really enjoying them. He is very good at picking up on what level I am at and how to push me without being harsh. He makes sure I am playing correctly before moving on and gives good practice exercises. It's a lot of fun to learn with Dylan and he takes the time to really look and listen to me playing and provide feedback which is the whole point of one on one lessons. He is very knowledgeable about music and very humble. He handwrites the tabs for lessons which is totally awesome. Looking forward to keep learning from him.

I had the privilege of studying piano with Margarita Zelenaia for several years before her move to New Jersey ended our lessons. She is a professional of the highest caliber, a gifted teacher, who encourages, explains, demonstrates, and guides the student to mastery across a wide musical repertoire. Margarita has the ability to teach students at all levels - from the beginner to the advanced level. Although I no longer enjoy her physical presence, I hear her words and see her notes, marked on the musical text, whenever I sit down at the piano. The hallmark of a master teacher is the ability to help the student develop strong piano technique, while simultaneously encouraging the student to appreciate what the music is trying to convey. Margarita Zelenaia has helped me to do both.

I like how Matt insists on slowing everything down to really get a good understanding of notes, rythem, etc. He is a very fun person and knows a LOT about music. Matt is a super supportive instructor!
