The location was a bit of an issue at first. I live far away but was told he can only train at one range so I was unable work with John closer to home.
In terms of my experience I would give 5 stars! John is extremely patient and is an excellent teacher/coach. He really knows the game and can spot small things to fix your swing. Its a real step by step approach. He doesnt overload you with too much to think about at one time. You work on one part and get it right before progressing to the next step. As a former athlete, coach and teacher, I can truly appreciate his approach.

To start, I can simply say, John is the man. His knowledge of the game is unbelievable, and he knows how to explain the very technical swing techniques in numerous ways (while still being very patient). My swing and striking has evolved 10 fold in just 5 lessons, and I look forward to continuing lessons to keep on improving. Now with that said - go book a lesson. You wont regret it.

Coach John was easy to get along with. He made. the lessons at the range enjoyable and I actually saw drastic improvement after only a few sessions. I am really looking forward to going to the course with him on our. 5th session

My son has been in love with soccer for as long as I can remember. I have been playing with him for the past few years, but at age 9, I feel that he needs more detailed coaching, I can only do so much especially with my limited playing experience. When I try to help him, it goes in one ear and out the other, Im happy I found TSSA as Spencer looks forward to his soccer training with his coach. We have only done 3 sessions but I now see him using his weaker foot. His listening and focus has improved as well. Thanks Coach!

My son Andrew is in high school (Senior) and with Covid 19 going on we werent sure how his golf lessons would work. We met Coach John at the golf range in Tappan. He immediately offered us hand sanitizer which was a nice icebreaker. He worked with my son on building good habits with his swing so he could hit more confidently. In one of the swing stations with golf mat he kept his distance and kept the instruction engaging. We had a great experience and are looking forward to more classes.

    Frequently asked questions

    Well First session is Free.

I like to see where my students are at with their game. As they swing for the first. 5 minutes it really allows me to get an idea of what primary goals we will need to focus on so we can start building/ sculpting the right swing.

I mostly work with beginners and mid-handicap players. I started teaching back when I was caddying at a private country club and then expanded to work with beginners and casual players.  Recently, I have been focusing on increasing confidence for newer players especially on the tee.

Look for a teacher that is affordable and some one that you can relate to. You are going to be investing time and money and you want to make sure you get it right the first time.
