About

As a Class A PGA Golf Professional, I teach to that standard for all my students. In a world where golf advice is so abundant, especially considering what's on TV, in magazines, and on Youtube, it can be hard to sift through that much information. Much of that information, for the vast majority of golfers, is either misguided, incorrect, or irrelevant to any given individual.

With guided instruction, I will help you to enhance and build your golf game. Although physical improvement is always desired, I believe that golf is a game, not a punishment, so my lessons will never be without fun and positivity! Having more fun playing the game is a win in the end.

I love the glow students get from the improvements they make in their game, both big and small. It's the experience that connects all students, from the competitive to the complete novice.

My pro’s name is Kory, what I liked was he looked at my swing and made the lesson around what I was doing, not what a perfect swing is! Will use him again!!!!

Frequently asked questions

I will ask them basic, but needed questions, before I begin developing a lesson plan for them.  These questions include "Do you have any injuries?", "How long have you been playing golf?", and "What do you want out of these golf lessons?"

The process continues.  A starting point is found fot the student, moving in the direction towards their goals as a golfer.  The restdepends on the lesson plan developed for that golfer.

I went to Eastern Kentucky University for Professional Golf Management and Marketing.  It is a four-and-a-half year program, requiring multiple internships under Class A PGA Proferssionals as well as the completion of certification in all related areas, not just golf instruction, of the PGA's demands.  I've learned from some of the country's most prestigious golf instructors, such as Charlie King and Don Cook.  I have also had the pleasure of learning, through PGA education, methods from instructors such as Butch Harmon and Claude Harmon.

I charge $60 per lesson.  Each lesson is 45 minutes long, and never less than that.  More often than not, I run over by 5 or 10 minutes, given the student is not pressed for time.

I started teaching golf at the age of 14.  I had a natural grip on the game of golf and studied the game very ealy on in life.  This was advantageous for me as I started making golf my career later on in life.

After having golf lessons as a kid, I made it my goal to teach better than those who attempted to teach me so students wouldn't be misdirected as often as my peers were.

I have worked with students in many different demograhics.  My current student base ranges widely in nationality.  I teach anyone from the age of 10 and up, including retirees. I also have the pleasure to say that more than 50% of my current clientelle are women, and have been since I started teaching in the state of Ohio.  So, it's safe for me to say that both men and women are welcome on my lesson tee!

As far as skill level goes, I teach a number of students in every major skill level category: beginner/novice, intermediate, advanced, and competitive.

There's no harm is trying an instructor once, but it's also important to see if you mesh with your instructor.  Students will learn better if they are with someone they can get along with.

Also, there are many "golf pros" out there in the world, but PGA Professionals should be evryone's first choice.  PGA Professionals go through 3-5 years of eductaion before recieving their Pro Status.  Other certified Pros, such as USGA Pros, may only go through a certification process of 3 months.  With this in mind, choose your pros wisely.  Always ask which certification they have, if any.

Do you have clubs?  Have you considered the amount of time you will need to set aside for yourself for practice, playing, and commuting to and from the golf course?  No lesson is worth having unless the student is willing to conduct purposeful practice on their own time.
