I love helping students learn and grow. Horses bring such a wonderful amount of responsibility, commitment and growth that I feel everyday spent with horse is preparing students, especially children, for so many of lifes lessons to come.
The compassion that horses teach to their students is also such a wonderful experience for people. There is such therapy in being around animals in general but even more so around horses, I believe, due to their great size and beauty.
The relationship that can develop between horse and rider is such a fulfilling experience in a way that a lot of people cannot even imagine until they have had the awesome experience of actually being around these amazing creatures.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Introductory Assessment Lesson First:
I prefer to do in introductory assessment with all new students to show them around the farm so they are aware of where all the horses are and all of the equipment is that they will be using.
We teach our riders how to tack up and groom the horse before their lesson and then we do instruction while mounted for a half hour.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been riding horses since the young age of 8 years old. I started taking English riding lessons as a child and progressed to my first horse at 13 years old and continued to show and build on my knowledge of horses throughout the years.
I have experience in both training horses and teaching riding lessons.
What types of students have you worked with?
I specialize in teaching riding lessons to children however we do have a few adults that ride as well!
Does you child have any special needs? Perhaps some fear issues to overcome from a previous riding experience? Maybe your child has been dealing with some struggles at school due to ADHD or Epilepsy?
I have taught lessons to a variety of children and adults alike that bring an array of challenges to the table and we are more than happy to work through those obstacles together.
I try to listen to the student and create an environment that is comfortable for each student in order for them to gain trust, confidence and grow!!!
