Great with kids. Really explains safety and lets the kids be hands on. A very informational lesson for a great price. My daughter loves going to the barn. Such a beautiful atmosphere.

I liked that he explained why he was asking me for certain actions and walked me through how my body language and movements were communicating with the horse.

Calm. Professional. Thorough and all encompassing. He starts at the very basics and expands as your skill level increases. Bud, his Paint, is the embodiment of cool and easy.

    Frequently asked questions

Finding out what they can and can not do, starting out slow to build confidence in aquiring the skills they want to acheive.

I have been the agriculture industry my entire life plus a professional life in sale, marketing and fundraising.

Being raised on a cow/calf ranch as a young child to late teens kept me involved in 4-H, FFA and Young Farmers to presdient of the local Jr. Fair Board. At the same time showing beef cattle, hogs, sheep and horses. Competing in these life learning events helped hone my skills to become a horseman, instructor and the skills I have, to offer anyone who is willing to put in the time and learn; from speed events, showing horses, roping, team roping, cattle sorting/penning and clinics.

while working for many different horsemen and a local veterinarian helped create the foundations needed to become successful in what I love to do in the equine industry. If I had to do it all over again, I wouldn't change a thing!

I am simi-retired and only want to take on those who really have an interest is learning to ride and/or compete in horse events as  I have a down-to-earth passion to teach! Every thing I have to offer applies to life learning steps for young and old, for beginners to all ready talented riders in the equine field. You may even have something for myself to learn in return...

One time riding experience and photo/video op - $100.00 Ask about other offers depending on the individual...

Monthly is available upon an evaluation of skills demonstrated and goal setting.

Riders wanting an attentive eye or experience a different  tune up before attending a show... (not for the weak).

Travel Fees - depends how far out start - $20.00 Plus...

I come from a family of various teaching skills. Winning is great but watching a student achieve one of their goals is the grand prize for me!

Age group from 5 to 70 years of age. Have had experience with Girl Scout groups needing equine badges, Autistic children, shy folks, Big Brothers & Sister groups, Mother daughter/son pair....
