Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We invite prospective clients to the farm for an evaluation of their skills and abilities then match them with the most appropriate horse or pony for a riding lesson. Lessons are approximately one hour in length.
If the rider does not know how to groom and tack up a horse, part of the lesson will introduce them to these fundamentals.
For riders with an existing foundation of skills, we will work to customize a lesson and riding plan that matches your aspirations and goals.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Maria is a USHJA certified trainer and member of the following organizations: United States Equestrian Federation, United States Hunter/Jumper Association, Ohio Hunter/Jumper Association, and the Kentucky Hunter/Jumper Associated.
Maria is also a board memeber for the Kentucky Hunter/Jumper Association.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Yes, we offer an introductory lesson package for new clients: $200 for 4, one-hour riding lessons. We recommend you ride at least once a week for the benefits to really pay off!
Existing clients are billed each month for lessons and training.
