About this pro

Kneipp Farm opened in 1993 under the guidance and care of Maria Kneipp. We are a 22 stall equine boarding and training facility specializing in hunters, jumpers and equitation.

The farm is ideally located within the 275 loop and less than 15 minutes from downtown, Northern Kentucky, Hyde Park, Indian Hill and Anderson Township.

Whether you're a young rider who loves ponies, a high school student who wants to become a competitive collegiate athlete, or an adult looking to decompress after a long day, we have the right program foryou.

And if you don't own a horse (but want to ride), that's ok too! We have high-quality, safe and reliable lesson horses and ponies available for your use.

The property has modern amenities, including but not limited to:

 - 12x12 stalls with windows

- 75x200 indoor arena

- 110x290 outdoor arena with lights for evening rides

- Heated tack room, 3 grooming stalls, 2 wash racks

- 6 paddocks with board fencing

- Highest quality feed + hay

Every horse gets turned out daily (weather permitting). Full, partial and rehab training programs are customized to each rider and horse's needs.

I have ridden with Maria for over 20 years. She has extensive knowledge as an equine professional.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

We invite prospective clients to the farm for an evaluation of their skills and abilities then match them with the most appropriate horse or pony for a riding lesson. Lessons are approximately one hour in length.

If the rider does not know how to groom and tack up a horse, part of the lesson will introduce them to these fundamentals.

For riders with an existing foundation of skills, we will work to customize a lesson and riding plan that matches your aspirations and goals.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Maria is a USHJA certified trainer and member of the following organizations: United States Equestrian Federation, United States Hunter/Jumper Association, Ohio Hunter/Jumper Association, and the Kentucky Hunter/Jumper Associated.

Maria is also a board memeber for the Kentucky Hunter/Jumper Association.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

Yes, we offer an introductory lesson package for new clients: $200 for 4, one-hour riding lessons. We recommend you ride at least once a week for the benefits to really pay off!

Existing clients are billed each month for lessons and training.
