Horseback riding is about so much more than just riding a horse! It teaches responsibility, dedication, teamwork, leadership, confidence, goal-setting, and so many other things. Not only do I love when my students reach a breakthrough moment in their riding, but it's also incredibly satisfying when my riders grow and blossom personally as well! I couldn't possibly be happier that I have achieved my childhood dream of sharing my love of horses!

    Frequently asked questions

New students start with private lessons and learn about the process of getting their horse ready for a lesson. Each lesson they will learn more skills that will prepare them for group lessons. Steering and brakes are requirements for graduation to group lessons, which can take several weeks, but we always move at a pace that's comfortable and safe for each individual rider.

With over 40 years of riding experience, more than 20 years of teaching experience, several years of showing personally and several more of coaching students at shows, many years of training horses, and countless years of horse ownership, Jessica is well qualified to help you achieve any horse-related goal you may have!

Lessons are $220 a month for once weekly half hour private or hour long group lessons, depending on skill level and availability. You also receive a once monthly unmounted horsemanship clinic.

I began my career as a volunteer at a therapeutic riding center. I loved the work and was asked to begin teaching. I taught therapeutic riding for approximately 10 years at 2 different facilities, then typical riding for another 10+ years at another facility. I became independent in 2016, bought my own farm in 2017, and have never looked back!

I work with all ambulatory students ages 3 and up. My oldest student thus far was 72, but I don't have a cap! Different people have different learning styles, so I combine visual, auditory, and kinesthetic approaches to reach any type of learner. I work with beginners through intermediate students, whether just for fun or with lofty goals!

Recently one of my riders got her horse to canter on the right lead under saddle. It doesn't sound like much, but she had been working on achieving this goal for over a year!

Ask questions! What experience does this teacher have? Are they insured? What are their emergency procedures? The cheapest place is not always the best. Neither is the most expensive. Make sure you know what you're paying for!

What are your goals? What are your fears? Are there any special considerations we should know about?
