About
Foxridge Farms is a professional hunter/jumper facility offering first time lessons to show opportunities all over North America. Foxridge Farms Riding Academy prides itself in extensive one on one lessons, great horsemanship and care, and a positive barn environment. Now under new managment, we are excited to take on more students and expand our barn family. Head trainer, Sean Jobin, is an international Grand Prix rider with plenty of experience training all sorts of different horses and riders. This ensures that Sean can help you and your horse reach any goals that you may have. Foxridge Farms Riding Academy can fulfil your weekly equine escape from a busy schedule or can further your knowledge and success to a spot on our show team. We have something for everyone, whatever your goals or intentions may be!
Sean Jobin and his team are incredibly dedicated to their work and to the health and success of our horses. We try to provide our horses with the top notch care to make sure they feel their best and want to perform at their best. Caring for these animals and creating a partnership is the most rewarding part of horseback riding. We put in very long days and hard work, lots of tough training days and difficult lessons, but seeing the horses and students thrive and reach their potential is worth every second of it.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Typically, with a student who has no equine experience, part of the lesson includes teaching them to prepare to ride, we call this "tacking up". When learning to tack up, the instructor will get you the appropriate safety equipment and will show you how to properly handle the horse. They will also teach you how to groom and put all of the equipment on the horse. During the introductory lesson, the instructor works on very basic things, while keeping in mind the comfort or discomfort of the rider. Riding a horse for the first time can be intimidating but it can also be very therapeutic, we want to make sure you have a very positive experience. For riders with previous equine experience, we start with an assessment lesson so that the instructor can assess your current level of ability and place you with an appropriately skilled trainer and horse.
