Hi there! I have my D3 certification in USPC and I've been in pony club for almost 5 years. I've recently found a love for teaching beginner riders the basics of English riding including and up to jumping/dressage. I start with the basics of grooming and tacking and we go from there, I do private lessons for any age, I'm great with kids, and I'm super fun!
I just really love working with kids and I love seeing their faces light up when they accomplish something.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I usually begin with horse basics and knowledge then move into mounted at a leadline basis until rider is comfortable to have a longer lead and eventually ride by themselves. Then from there we grow with different gaits and introduce jumping if the student is interested.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am in Hunters Run Pony Club which has given me many opportunities to work with younger riders and help instruct them, while being given many opportunities to be instructed myself.

How did you get started teaching?
My best friend, owner of the barn, moved to Florida after starting her own lessons so she asked me to take them over and after lots of consideration I agreed.
What types of students have you worked with?
Students of all ages (3-50), beginners, riders who have some experience but not enough for what they want to do, and fellow younger pony club members.
