Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
A 30 minute consultation to discuss goals to make sure we are a good fit for each other. We will discuss any limitiations regarding health history and current health. We will discuss goals and realistic timelines to achieve those goals. In addition, we will discuss service delivery options - in person, virtual or LIVE class options.

I have been active my entire life. I have been a certified indoor cycling instructor for 15+years. I received my personal training certification about 4 years ago. I am currently working on my nutrition coaching certification in addition, to participating in webinars to further my own knowledge and education in the health and wellness industry.

How did you get started teaching?
I started as an indoor cycling instructor at my local gym. I have always been active as a young person but found it more challenging to stay active once I graduated college and knew the importance of movement during the lifespan - how it made me feel and to keep the body well. I moved to teaching other formats such as bootcamps and a kettlebell class. I evently moved to obtaining my personal training certification.
What types of students have you worked with?
The spectrum...high school athletes, college age students, young adults, middle age and seniors.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
A recent event I am fond of was venturing out to begin teaching classes on a LIVE platform. I had to get use to seeing myself on video but I love engaging with other people and make them feel so strong and so powerful through movement.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Personality is important be sure your personalities align. Skill set is also important. Ask questions to ensure the relationship and skill sets are a good fit for you. My mantra is one size does not fit all when it comes to your health and living well. If your needs are not being met, let your coach know. Give them an opportunity to correct it and if expectations still are not being met perhaps considering trying another professional.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What is your background? How long have you been in the industry? How are you staying on top of new trends or changes in the industry? What is your skill set? What services do you offer and what are the options for service delivery?
