My passion is teaching golf and have been doing for over 20 years in the Carolinas and Ohio. I have students from all levels, professionals to beginnings and everyone in between. One of my strengths is being able to visualize the larger plan and being about to break it down into achievable steps, then communicate the goals, make personal connections and bring your skills together to achieve goals. I am very proud that I have been honored by the PGA for the 2007 SOPGA President’s Award for making extraordinary contribution’s and achievements in the PGA’s “Growth of the Game” initiatives. I am equally proud of my service to the PGA (nationally) and the Southern Ohio PGA by serving on the PGA’s National Government Relations Committee (2008-2012) and SOPGA Jr. Golf Task Force (2010-2014). These examples speak to my commitment to my community and passion for golf. Derek Kinzer, PGA
I focus on the goals of my students, I learn from them what they want out of golf and I aid them in acheiving their goals we set. What I enjoy most is seeing that "ah-ha" moment when the students hits that shot we have been working to optain.
Coach Derek gave helpful instruction. He was able to analyze my swing and pinpoint places to improve.
