Quality of Training. Passion for the game of golf. Ability to connect with a student at any age about the game.

Because I am a certified Master Club Fitter in addition to being a certified Golf Swing Instructor - my viewpoint and perspective is looking at a golfer for both swing and club fit. Nobody else in Northeast, OH has this broad perspective.

I have also recently obtained my certification in Golf Swing Biomechanics, which enables me to better understand the relationship between each person's physical ability and the strengths, limitations, as well as abilities in their performance with a golf club.

Teaching others to achieve a higher level of success on the course. This perpetuates greater retention of players in the sport. Once a person can get over the hump from mediocre to average or better, they are hooked for life. A little bit of success can really motivate a player to focus on improvement.

Ron is a really good teacher / coach. Very easy to understand and work with for a novice golfer like myself. He has a no-nonsense and practical approach that I really appreciated.

    Frequently asked questions

Start with the basics of swinging a club according to the level of the student - beginner, intermediate, or advanced. Evaluate the student for proper stance, shot fundamentals, swing mechanics, swing plane, ball flight, and trajectory dynamics.

Explain what makes the ball do different things and why shots go wrong.

Examine the student's clubs for playing condition, performance design, and proper fit to their individual swing and limitations (if any).

    Certified Golf Instructor

    Certified Master Club Fitter

    Certified Master Club Builder

Three years of intense training and classwork while in school. Ongoing seminars and training sessions for continuing education.

There is no contract or set number of lessons. My rates are simple and fair. One hour is the minumum for a lesson.

I got started teaching after being a Master Club Builder and Club Fitter working in the industry for a couple of years. I came to the realization that there were so many people having trouble with just basic hitting, and as a result were dropping out of the sport. I figured that getting certified as an Instructor - would enable me to offer more services in terms of teaching golf and keep these people in the game.

I have worked with every type of student imaginable. All age ranges from 12 - 85. People with serious physical limitation issues such as back, shoulder or hip surgery.

I've worked with beginners who are children and adults that have never played the game. And, also taught students who are retired older adults with diminishing strength and conditioning who want to remain playing.

A beginner adult student of mine who had been playing about 6 months before he hired me for lessons - teared up the first time I was able to get him to hit the ball up off the turf.

Look for a well-rounded professional with a diverse background and a good communicator who will not just tell you what to do, but will explain the WHY questions.

Be completely open and honest about your skill level and any limitations you may have when playing golf.
