About this pro

I genuinely want my players to improve and I'll always be patient with their progress. Golf is a challenging game and I understand how it's easy for players to be lost. I use a system of improvement that has been tested over thousands of golf lessons. My goal is to help my players reach their potential and give them the tools necessary to succeed. I use video analysis to help show where players can improve and I assign detailed homework so they know what to practice and how to practice. No matter what type of player I'm working with I understand it's a process and I treat is as such.

I love my job because I get help others accomplish their goals. The best feeling is seeing my students grow with their golf game.

Really enjoyed my first lesson with Zach. We spent time going over where my game is at, where I want it to be, and what sort of timeline I had in mind for achieving it. Having never been to a lesson before or seeing my swing on film, it was incredibly helpful being able to see what I was actually doing in my swing, have Zach suggest a course of action to correct it, and then immediately be able to see the changes afterward. The swing video with voiceover he sent after my lesson was very professional and did a good job highlighting what we had worked on and what I needed to continue working on. I will definitely be booking another lesson(s) with Zach.

Zach is a great instructor. After the free, first lesson, I felt more confident in the direction of my swing like never before. I am now three lessons into my package and have made great strides. I’m so excited for this golf season! Do not hesitate on hiring Zach! If you trust him, the strokes will fly off your game.

I'm very happy with the lessons I've received from Zach! He makes it really easy to understand what was/is going wrong with my swing. He uses video very effectively to show what I am doing and what what i need to do to correct it. I get lesson summaries sent to me with reminders of what i need to work on. I came to him as an experienced golfer in need of some fine tweaks and he has exceed my expectations. He's is very patient and knows his stuff. I would highly recommend him to anyone that is serious about improving their golf game.

If you truly want to see consistent improvement and aren't after quick fixes, then Zach is your guy. He takes the time to explain the physics behind the swing and always makes sure you walk away from a lesson with a full understanding of what was taught, to limit misinterpretation of what was worked on. I've taken 5 strokes off my game with little practice time in-between sessions.....

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

First step is to evaluate your goals and determine based on your current skills and knowledge of the game, what it will take to reach those goals. I will explain the common and major flaws of the swing in order to start a basis of understanding about the direction we will go.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have a degree in Golf Management Science. I am a certified club fitter. I am a PGA Apprentice. I have worked with Special Olympics students as well as juniors.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

I charge Fifty Dollars for a half hour lesson and Seventy-Five Dollars for a one hour lesson. After the first lesson we will talk about what you want to accomplish and I'll make a recommendation as to how much time is needed with me.

How did you get started teaching?

I started teaching after graduating college because I had a great understanding of the golf swing. I started with Juniors and went from there. Creating great relationships with the players I coach is very rewarding for me.

What types of students have you worked with?

My youngest student is 8 and my oldest is 80. That range includes left and right handed, men and women, High school players, college, and anywhere from a 0 handicap to a 30 handicap.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.

Olympic Golf. All major PGA championship events.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

I would look for someone with experience and a wide range of students and a genuine desire to help you improve. Video analysis is key as well for consistent fundamental feedback.

What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?

Think about why and how much you want to get better. Establish a goal and think about how much you really want to achieve that goal. Time is a challenge for everyone, but we make time for what we want in life.
