About
I have been teaching and working with horses for over 30 years . I enjoy teaching students and passing on my knowledge of riding and horses in general
I teach western and English styles of riding. Which includes western riding, contesting to English hunt seat and jumping.
My background was in eventers before I moved from England to the USA
In my lessons we also learn how to groom, saddle and care for the horse. I also teach ground work skills. I also hold ground work clinics a couple of times a year.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
In our first lesson this well depend on the experience of the student ,but if the student has no riding experience. We go over safety around horses how to enter a stall and catch the horse. How to lead and some basic grooming I then show the student how to saddle up the horse. We will cover saddling more in the next lesson. We then get mounted and learn the basics of asking the horse to walk stop and turn.
If the student has some riding experience, after a finding what they have done before we go though some safety with horses just so we are both on the same page. Groom, saddle the horse and the do a lessen on our schoolmaster gelding on what I see from the rider while evaluating the students strengths and weaknesses we then go from there with following lessons.
