About
I take things slow with my students I don't push them if they are not ready for the next step. Safety first is one thing that must be taught first. If they already have it then we can move one to other things. There are more to horses than just riding
Horses are extraordinary creatures and I love to teach our young or old about how wonderful they are. Horses aren't just for riding that's a bonus
Do you have a horse and need help? I can help with that. Using the Art2ride training system I start with a foundation that is mentally and physically easing on the horse and rider. What do you want to accomplish ? Do you have goals in mind? I can help you with those and be a guide into whatever it is you wish to accomplish.
Is your horse giving you fits and you just can't figure it out? I can help with too.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Well. The first thing a new student must learn is safety. Horses are big animals and new students need to know why horses do what they do and we need to know how to do what is safe to be able to enjoy them without getting hurt.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I was in horse 4 H as a kid. I studied with several local trainers in my twenties. Then I found a trainer out in California and have using his training methods ever since. Classical foundation training.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Always look for the instructor that puts the horse first. And is concerned with the mental welfare of both horse and rider
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Will it make a difference if they do and how will it effect them and the horse. And no question is ever wrong.
