To me this is not work, it is my passion. One of the best feelings ever is to see my student accomplish their goal, however small it may be. Whether it is being able to work the ball left or right, or just be able to get the ball in the air, every goal is a mountain in any students eye. I am here to make that mountain into a small bump.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
The first thing I like to do is talk with a new student. Find out their skill level, how much they play, how much they practice, how serious getting better is to them, and their goals( short term and long term). My next step is determined by that conversation. However, usuallynext i will look at their grip, aim and setup as this is the foundation of being able to acheive a consistent golf swing. More advanced players i will ask them what they feel is the biggest issue for them and then lok at their swing and ball flight and see if i agree. beginners I will go slowly with them through the swing. For someone who is just starting the first lesson they will hit very few balls, it will be more getting the feel and positions of the golf swing, primarily the takeaway for the first lesson.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a graduate from The Golf Academy of America in Myrtle beach, SC. I have an Associates Degree in Golf Management and Instruction. Since graduating I have worked for the same course and company who has multiple courses in the Columbus and surrounding areas. I teach numerous junior clinics every season and have done a couple adult clinics as well. Along with this i give individual lessons on a regular basis.
