Owner of Graves Golf Academy - teach the Single Plane Golf Swing of Moe Norman known as the best ball-striker to ever play the game. Studied under Moe to learn his technique for 10 years until his death in 2004. The Single Plane swing eliminates the complications of the conventionally taught two-plane swing making the swing easier on your body, less stressful on your back and easier to play golf.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I will only teach a series of lessons and all instruction starts with learnign the ideal address position for the Single Plane. From there I teach the positions of the swing - starting with the backswing movement and then into the downswing, impact, releae and finish.
Like learing any motor skill, proper positon trainng and learing in slow motion speeds up the process. I utilize personally developed training aids to assist in the process.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I was personally taught by Moe Norman for 10 years. Moe was known as the greates ball-striker to ever play the game.
I have researched the golf swing from in 3D at some of the most sophiticated laboratories in the world. I have used this reseach to integrate into the learning process.
I authored a book "The Single Plane Golf Swing, Play Better Golf the Moe Norman Way"

$400 for series of four lessons.

Coached the University of Oklahoma Golf Team 1988 - 1989.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.
A student asked me why I don't play golf much anymore. I told him because I get my golf enjoyment from watching others improve in the game. Wathching other golfers improve is how I have fun with golf.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make a committment to the teacher. Don't just take on lesson and expect to get everyting. The more time you can dedicate to your practice and the more committed you are to the process, the faster you will improve and have fun.
