About

Gallery Farm offers riding lessons for adults and children (short stirrups group classes for ages 3-7 & private lessons for ages 8 years old and up) year round during the week and on the weekends. The instructor focuses on individual rider's strengths and weknesses. Private lessons are geared precisely for each individual. Unlike group lessons, this format allows the rider to learn at his or her own speed and students are not expected to adjust the group's learning curve. All beginners start out with private lessons on a lunge line (instructor has control of the horse) which maximizes safety and increases the student's ability to learn the riding skills more quickly. At least once a year, students are encouraged to write their goals down on paper so a plan can be designed by the instructor to achieve these goals. Gallery Farm has well trained quality lesson horses that are available for lease on which to practice skills learned in lessons and for use in shows.

Gallery Farm has an active Junior Team which raises funds to allow members to participate in clinics and shows they couldn't normally afford to attend.

The owner and riding instructor, Pamela Byers, has a passion for teaching. She enjoys helping students hone their riding skills and increasing their equestrian knowledge while achieving their riding goals. She stays very busy giving lessons, heading up the Gallery Farm Junior Team, being the Cleveland County 4-H Horse Club Leader, and being involved in several state equestrian organizations along with running clinics and horse shows at Gallery Farm each year. Having grown up with horses, she completed a two year associate's degree in Light Horse Management at the Univeristy of Minnesota Technical College at Waseca (an agricultural branch of the University of MN). After working at large Quarter Horse and Appaloosa show horse facilities in four different mid-western states, she settled in Oklahoma to pursue a degree in Business management at OU. Since 2004 Pamela has worked full time running Gallery Farm and giving lessons. Currently she is focused on furthering her students' riding careers, training horses, and continuing her own equestrian education. Pamela not only teaches you to ride well, but how to handle horses on and off the ground safely. I have been at this barn for 16 years, so everyone here is like family.

I had ALWAYS loved horses and wanted to ride but never did it. As a post-middle aged person I found Pamela and Gallery Farm and my dream came true. They have gotten me into the saddle on a weekly basis, given me a group of friends (both human and equine) and even rehabed me after knee and then hip replacement.
They are so wonderful that I have arranged for my youngest relatives to get lessons and share the joy.
I cant recommend Gallery Farm enough.

I have been out at Gallery for at least 6 years now (I believe it’s been longer) and I can honestly say I still learn something new every time I’m out there. Pamela does a great job of making sure the foundations you learn are solid and that you will excel in whatever it is you hope to do. She’s very informative and great at explaining things at a variety of different levels. I’ve definitely become a better equestrian overall because of the handson approach Pamela uses in her teaching.

Our daughter has been taking lesson at Gallery for seven years. Thanks to Pamela we have seen her progress from total beginner to a very competitive upper level rider. Pamela is very patient and always puts safety first. We have two horses stabled at Gallery and know they get top notch care.

Pamela is a phenomenal teacher. She focuses on respecting and understanding horses in such a way that riders cant help but build a trusting relationship with each horse they ride, whether a horse of their own or one of her top notch lesson horses. She is always focused on safety, proper form, and explains the rationale behind the cues riders give horses so that riders dont just learn what to do, they learn the all-important why.
