I had not had piano instruction for 46 years ! He taught me theory ; How to find and use the cords in any key ; rhythms; and playing as a worshiper and facilitator for worship . Also some beginning instruction on creating music . Beginning with familiar and adding one new element , words, tune, rhythm . Excellent Instructor !

I had always wanted to learn piano and I wanted to have something that my kids and I could learn together. I needed someone who was going to be good with both adults and kids and Rachel fit that perfectly. Rachel helped me by being so patient and encouraging. She made the learning process really fun but always challenged us to try to push ourselves in our learning. Her encouragement helped us want to practice in between lessons and we looked forward to her visits. She helped grow our love of learning music instead of making it feel like a chore. We were always excited to learn new songs and new lessons. My kids were very comfortable learning from Rachel. I enjoyed the different pieces I worked with and how there was some variety in the music. I also felt that Polly was able to accommodate well when a certain technique was difficult for me to understand the first time; she's great at explaining concepts in different ways.
